Like war-beleaguered Iraqis in their first election, Midland's early voters will get a "purple finger" sticker to show they did their duty and hopefully inspire others to do likewise.

I'm gonna get me one of those.
About as popular as a hair in a biscuit.
I just hope everyone will exercise their right to vote. With the early voting
option, there is NO excuse for not finding the time to go vote.

Yeah....it's kinda cheesey to do that here, but I'm sure good thoughts were behind it. It's appalling to see how low the voter turn out is percentage wise.

We heard you the first time Shrub. You're just mad cause your party didn't think of it first. As usual, you dems are trying to make it partisan thing. This is something being done for everyone equally, doesn't matter who came up with the idea first IMO.

the voting laws are pretty well defined.and the Repubs seem to find ways around them.(if both and other parties) agree to it. then so be it............I see nothing wrong with it,but for one party to promote it at the polls, then only a fool would not see this as a form of collusion.........

I'm sure all parties had to agree or they wouldn't be allowed to do it.
At least I would think they all had to agree and have it approved by the county election officials.
I think dipping a person's finger in ink (or some other such thing) would be a good way to ensure that people only voted once. It might not be a bad idea.
