    I got an email today in my junk mail that said "Your ex sent me these pictures of you". It got me to thinking, any "ex" I might have would have to be over 10 years ago, so I am thinking to myself...."hmmm, I probably would have looked a lot better back then". Maybe I should have requested copies for myself.

    ANGERS, France -- A Frenchman is suing Google for making him the laughing stock of his village after the firm's Street View service put on the internet a picture of him urinating in his garden, his lawyer said Thursday.

    "He discovered the existence of this photo after noticing that he had become an object of ridicule," lawyer Jean-Noel Bouillaud told AFP, asking for the name of the village not be published.

    The slightly blurred photo shows an individual relieving himself in a garden in the village in the west-central Maine-et-Loire department.

    "My client lives in a tiny hamlet where everyone recognized him," said Bouillaud, adding that his client was on his own property and the gate to his garden was closed at the time the photo was taken.

    Ooooh, I got a text on my cell phone that said I've won a thousand dollar WalMart card. What ya say, I'll call that number and we can buy all sorts of picture frames for your pictures.

    MILWAUKIE -- Snow globes left on a window ledge directed sunlight into an intense heat beam that started a couch fire in a Milwaukie home.

    The owner said he left the snow globes on a ledge after Christmas and forgot about them, Clackamas Fire District spokesman Steve McAdoo told KGW.

    The globes stayed on the shelf, the angle of the sun changing over the months. Saturday, the globes directed intense heat beams at the back of a couch, he said.

    Neighbors heard a smoke alarm and called 9-1-1.

    "Thank God because the house would have been gone probably in another half an hour," said homeowner Ken Gambell.

    I have had the same home phone number for more than 20 years, but in the last week I have received two phone calls for "Dr. Patterson". Strange after all these years to receive calls from two different people who looked at the number wrong.

    The steel casket draped in fabric imitating the look of the fried pork meat will help sell J&D's Foods’ range of edible bacon products, the newspaper said, citing an interview with co- founder Justin Esch.

    The coffin will also help to meet increasing demand for customized caskets, the paper said, citing Mark Allen, the former chief executive officer of the Casket and Funeral Supply Association of America.

    Prosecutors have slammed the use of 'nerd glasses' in court.

    Donning thick-rimmed spectacles for court appearances has become a trend amongst criminal defendants in a bid to look more respectable in the eyes of the jury.

    Attorneys have started to ask defendants to swear under oath if they are habitual glasses wearers or just have the non-prescription specs for show.

    When five men went on trial in Washington DC for first degree murder in March 2010, they all wore large-framed, heavy rimmed glasses, even though none of them had genuine sight problems.

    Orlando Carter, 22, Sanquan Carter, 21, Jeffrey Best, 23, Robert Bost, 23, and Lamar Williams, 23, were all accused of fatally shooting five men in southeast Washington.

    Assistant U.S. attorney Michael Brittin asked a witness - one of the men who had pleaded guilty to the case - if he'd ever seen the men wearing glasses before the trial, reports the Washington Post.

    When he answered 'no', court observers said that the spectacles were an attempt by the accused to ingratiate themselves to the jury.
