How about all of the NE go to 55mph, the rest of the country can then stay at 70 or higher.

If that Trans Texas Corridor project goes through (which of course was first thought of by our own Eurasian) higher speed limits can be attained, while keeping it safe.
back in the day of 55 mph during the last "gasoline" crises .... back in the day the world was in eminent danger of running out of ahl (oil) ..... nobody drove 55 mph in west texas but communities certainly filled their coffers with $$$ generated from speeding tickets.
how much drilling will it take to make the earth into a giant piece of swiss cheese ..... when will the major sink holes begin to suck down huge cities as the earth's crust collapses?
I think it is about time congress and the city council should give civilians the right and power to ticket police, sheriffs, DPS, TXDOTS, DOTS, CITIES, COUNTIES, STATES who sabotage their efforts and processes to make driving gas saving, time saving, safer.

But though this is eurasian's experimental, eurasian would like to negatively criticize this because eurasian has an experimental that is even better than this.
Look at the overall width of these separate truck roads, car roads, train railroads plus the various grassy medians. THE OVERALL WIDTH IS SO WIDE. WE ALSO HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE FARMERS WHOSE LANDS WILL BE CONFISCATED OR EXPROPRIATED BY GOVERNMENT TO BUILD THESE ROADS.
This kind of highway with its various separate roads will be very expensive so much so that the US or Texas cannot afford to build it but has to wait until the year 2050 to build it.
But notice the width of the train railroads. See how narrow that width for the trains are compared to the overall width of the highway of the varous different roads? LET'S USE THE MONEY TO BUILD THIS TRANS TEXAS HIGHWAY TO BUILD THE RAILROAD SEGMENTS SO WE WILL HAVE RAILROADS FROM THE MEXICAN PACIFIC COAST ALL THE WAY TO MIDDLE CANADA!!! THIS WILL BE INCOME PRODUCING SINCE THIS WILL REDUCE THE COST OF SHIPPING IN THE EXPORTING AND IMPORTING OF GOODS BETWEEN "CHINA PACIFIC RIM" AND "US/CANADA/NORTH AMERICA".
2050 is still some 42 years from 2008. If we build this railroad or railroads to middle north america, we might finish this years, decades BEFORE 2050. THE INCOME FROM THIS/THESE RAILROADS CAN BE USED TO BUILD THIS OR THESE TRANS TEXAS HIGHWAYS
Wide truck car highways such as these will only make the people at Alpine jittery. But if we build railroads instead of truck/car trans highways, the people of Alpine might stop their oppositions because "UNDESIRABLE PEOPLE CANNOT GO DOWN IN THE ALPINE AREA IF TRAINS WILL PASS THROUGH BUT NEVER STOP IN THE ALPINE AREA B TRAVELING NO SLOWER THAN A CERTAIN TRAIN SPEED. FOR EXAMPLE, WHO WOULD LIKE TO JUMP FROM "A TRAIN THAT'S SPEEDING AT 40 MPH" ONTO THE GRASSLANDS AND EMPTY LANDS OF ALPINE???? WHAT FOR??? RISK A BROKEN LEG TO MEET A RATTLER OR PANTHER? Assuming you are correct that Alpiners' concern has nothing to do with hobos but with the environment and increased truck traffic, IN EURASIAN'S TRAIN TRAFFIC ONLY --- THERE'S NO INCREASE IN TRUCK TRAFFIC NOR TRUCK EXHAUST POLLUTION NOR POLLUTION FROM TRUCK HEADLIGHTS AT NIGH THAT WOULD OTHERWISE POLLUTE THE DARKNESS OF THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS SKY NEEDED TO OBSERVE THE HEAVENLY BODIES.

BUT FROM THE INLAND PORTS TO THE STORES, OR FROM MANUFACTURERS/FACTORIES TO THE INLAND PORTS TRUCKS, !8 WHEELERS, PICKUPS WITH TRAILERS WILL BE USEFUL!!!!

That's one great advantage of shipping using trains instead of trucks. Theoretically. you can eliminate drivers, lights, horns, etc. Of course it would be good to have drivers, lights, horns. But theoretically, if you don't care about liabilities, these can all be eliminated, theoretically at least while the train moves hundreds of containers and millions of pounds of cargoes.
