Default Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare

Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare
    Tuesday, August 11, 2009
    by Chuck Norris

Health care reforms are turning into health care revolts. Americans are turning up the heat on congressmen in town hall meetings across the U.S.

While watching these political hot August nights, I decided to research the reasons so many are opposed to Obamacare to separate the facts from the fantasy. What I discovered is that there are indeed dirty little secrets buried deep within the 1,000-plus page health care bill.

Culture of Corruption by Michelle Malkin FREE

Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.

It's outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading "home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children." The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

The bill says that the government agents, "well-trained and competent staff," would "provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains ... modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices," and "skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development."

    Are you kidding me?!

It doesn't matter that Democrats voted to authorize the invasion of Iraq any more than it matters that the little girl believed she was just going to help the man find a puppy.

While I don't want the government living my life for me, some people need parenting classes/intervention. I am the first to scream invasion of my life though........no thanks not for me.

Why don't we get spending down and have more equal healthcare, for the rich, middle class and the poor. Doctors need to remember why they became doctors in the first place, not the Porsche sitting in their drive way. I am so sick of the people being blamed for the healthcare crisis, hold the AMA responsible for the continued mistreatment of insurance and the sky rocketing cost of healthcare.

Maybe if every single doctor who came out of med school had to do a mandatory year or two of free clinic work then they would remember what it means to help someone, not just make that money and buy that condo in Hawaii!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I want to agree with you but i'm not sure if I can.
I don't think REAL Drs. working in hospitals make all that much money compared to private pratice & plastic surgeons.

    Not sure though.
It would be interesting to see where money from healthcare actually goes & who it goes to.

Even a doctor who is on staff has a private practice of sorts. They do their own private billing, this why you get a bill from the hospital and a bill from the doctor. Even ER docs bill seperate from the hospitals. There are professional fees and there are technical fees. So don't kid yourself that they are not making any money, because they are.

I was under the impression there are private practice dr's / sugeons that work out of a hospital & make real good money & actual staff DR's / Surgeons that make far less because they work directly for the hospital.

Nope, a hospitalist is still getting paid by the hospital and a professional billing fee for his/her time. They just may not have an actual office to go visit, but I promise they have a billing service.

Chuck Norris reads a portion of the bill and writes an article describing what he see as a problem.

Libs scream about how they'll leave the country if a conservative is elected or claim that conservatives are racists.

So, yeah. Barf, gag, puke. By George, I think you've finally got it.

So is the key here to make sure that the doctor who went to school for 20 years of his life, not make any money? Or that same doctor, gets out of school and owes $100,000 from the school time, then needs to go out and charge up another 250,000 or so to set up an office and staff, with on going expenses of $10,000 a month for that staff. This doesn't even get into any of "his " personal expenses such as a family.
What's the key to keep things equal. Let this doctor start his practice after highshool?

Well when said doctor charges me $200 for a visit and a medicaid patient pays $0 then something is wrong here. I am not saying the doctor is to blame, its just the system does not work. I pay a co pay and my insurance pays their part, the office adjust off any difference for contractual reasons, but say I don't have any insurance and I go I have to pay the whole amount. Whats wrong with this picture? I DO NOT, have the answers, but I can tell you that we are in trouble with health care expenses. I wish I did have an answer I'd be a very popular person right about now. And yes doctors have expenses just like any business, but I don't see most business owners driving around in Porsche's or Ferrari's either. So someone is making some pretty heavy cash there don't you think?
