MIDLAND—A month ago an Academy employee called police about a suspicious package left in the parking lot, which was believed to be a pipe bomb at the time. The suspicious package turned out to be a geocaching container. Now, police are looking at giving the person that dropped it off a bill for their entire operation.

If he didn't have Academy's permission, he should be responsible for all costs.

    Agreed.

To a point. But the government wasted money on what was an OBVIOUS non threat. We don't need a bomb squad and having one just tends to justify it's overuse. We waste money blowing up harmless objects all in the name of safety while homes and churches get burglarized. Our priorities need reevaluation.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.– C. S. Lewis
