Default i put up an electric fence

well im sick of my dogs eating the fence and all the bull ***** that goes with it, so i put up an electric fence tonight and when i plugged it in bullet must have been on it, he ended up laying on it and i had to pick him up off of it. star wont leave the back porch. hobo stays just far enough away to not get another taste. poor bullet got 2 taste of it. but all in all they will learn where they can and cant go! sad that i had to do this but i can not afford a law suit or more trips to doggy jail.

We had a lab once and had to install electric fence because she'd jump it every day. But once it was installed, whenever she got ready to go, she'd just take the shock and go merrily along her way. Good luck and I hope you have a better outcome.

Used to have a Golden Retriever that had 2 bad habits, he dug and peed on EVERYTHING new I put in the backyard. I put up a one wire electric fence to stop him from digging. The first thing he did when I turned it on was go pee on it. He didn't go near it ever again!!!

Yes I have done that too. We had german shepard when the kids were young and he would try to get to the neighbors yard, had to put one up. But he got used to it and just ripped it apart. I hope it works for you.

We don't even have our plugged in anymore. All they see are the yellow insulators and they know shock is not far behind..
