Default Need To Find A Home

My grandson, as it appears, is allergic to cats. When he is brought out around my son's three cats, his breathing gets labored and he breaks out. I will be taking Cooper, the oldest black cat, the girl, Penny, because she was adopted, the rescue will have the option to adopt her out again. I need to find an indoor home for Malkin. Malkin is 9 months old, neutered 3 months ago, city tag all shots are current. Here is a picture of Malkin. He is an absolutely beautiful cat, never been outdoors. I absolutely hate to split these cats up, but I have so much going on, I do not think I can handle 5 cats in my house..

    Here is Malkin:

Do you think that, as he gets older, he may be able less allergic? He's awfully young. Neither of mine were allergic so I have no experience here.

"... able less allergic..." Brain. Swimming. Glub glub.

That's what I was thinking, DM. Maybe keep the three together for now... then perhaps the Grandboy will develop a cat tollerance. Of course... that means YOU will be taking the brunt of the responsibility so you better be the one to make that decision!

DM, my sons allergy to cats got worse with age. He could not even be taken into a home where they had cats. I hope you can find a good loving home for Malkin.

I'm horribly allergic to cats - funny, considering how fond of them I am.

It's a lot of work, but you can compensate. In order to live with an indoor cat, I had to.....
    1) give the cat a bath weekly.
    2) wipe the cat down daily with a damp wash rag.
    3) vacuum the entire house daily, carpet and furniture.
    4) do serious spring cleaning more than once a year.

It's a lot of labor, but a labor of love.
Those who made the ultimate sacrifice thought YOU were worth dying for. Remember THEM.

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Do you think he would do well with chihuahuas and a toddler? This weekend I discovered D loves cats...he played with the cat over the puppies.

I don't see why not. You are welcome to come see him and see how D responds, and Malkin with him.

The quickest I could do that would be this weekend...if I do not go out of town.

Please do not hold the little guy for me...but, if he is still available when I can get there and D and Malkin like each other...then we may have a deal. (but we would have to change his name. D would have a hard time saying Malkin)

If Rae and Little D want the cat and cant take it right now, I can keep the cat for a very short time (say 2 weeks, tops)

    Let me know Rae.
