A cold front will move south through most of the region tonight and
sunday morning. Meanwhile...a fast moving upper level storm system
will drop southeastward over the area tonight and sunday. Although
temperatures will not be nearly as cold as the last front...they
will be cold enough to support a mix of rain and snow generally
north of a guadalupe pass to pecos to sheffield line late tonight
and sunday morning. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s in
these areas by sunday morning...but will warm into the upper 30s to
mid 40s by sunday afternoon.
Since the precipitation will likely fall as a mix of rain and
snow...and considering surface temperatures will warm above freezing
sunday morning...any snowfall accumulation is expected to be less
than one inch. Motorists should exercise caution early sunday
morning since there may be a few icy patches on roadways around
