    Default Downtown Big Spring, TX

After I went to the abandoned hospital in Big Spring, I decided to continue down the road I was on, and it led me to 1st Street, right against the train tracks. There's an old grain elevator here, plus lots of abandoned buildings. The grain elevator building was open, so I went inside. Here's something you may not know: I wouldn't mind seeing a ghost. That would be a little creepy. But when I see a mattress on the floor along with clothes on top of the mattress, that's SCARY! I make sure to get out of there in a hurry! Some of you may remember Wingate, TX where I had the same situation and left quickly.

Anyway, enough discussing my phobia of hobos.. Enjoy the photos. As always, the full Flickr set can be see here. Click for a larger photo, comments are always appreciated.

There's one more set left for me to upload (it just started), which is my Luther, TX set with the abandoned school and a few abandoned houses.

The street that's sorta sad is the old Hwy 80 heading west outta BS. The old hotels and buildings show what a vibrant, money-makin' stretch of town that used to be.
