Texas Eagle Forum president: Fight Trans-Texas Corridor, North American Union

Border security doesn't seem to matter to politicians, there is a move afoot to create a North American Union where the United States, Canada and Mexico would essentially be one market with a single currency -- the "Amero," a top Texas Eagle Forum official said Tuesday.

Eagle Forum President Cathie Adams spoke to some 54 people at the Petroleum Club. Formed by Phyllis Schlafly in 1972, the St. Louis, Mo., and Washington, D.C.-based Eagle Forum is pro-family, pro-life group.

She said those attending should keep their eye on the 2008 presidential race, ask their state representatives and senators to support eminent domain legislation in 2007, back keeping tolls from the Trans-Texas Corridor in-state and redirect the Texas Mobility and state highway funds to build roads.

The more I read about the Trans-Texas Corridor, to be built and run by a company from Spain, the more it stinks. Someone enlighten me.

Ah yes the ultimate solution to our fiat bond backed currency. Just invent a new, bond backed, fiat currency....
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.– C. S. Lewis

I've never heard anyone serious seriously suggest merging the North American currencies. Just one group of crackpots getting wild-eyed about some fetish of another group of crackpots. The Tran-Texas Corridor is a different story, but people getting all lathered up about the "Amero" are dancing around in Black Helicopter land.

But then the Freemasons and Bildebergers probably just put me up to this.

Amero will only come about if the Dollar takes a serious super nose dive. Why replace an accepted and for many a Universal Currency? (Most dollars are held OUTSIDE of the US then in it.)

The dollar already fills that roll.
